워싱턴주 벨뷰에 위치한 '다솜 크리스챤 아카데미’는 자신의 삶을 행복하고 성공적으로 이끌어가는 글로벌 차세대 리더로 자라게 하는데 목적을 둔다.

다솜 크리스챤 아카데미에서는 글로벌 차세대 리더로 키우기 위해 중점을 두는 세가지 교육 목표가 있다.

첫번째로는 성경에 기초한 바른 생각을 키우는 열매교육이다.

성경을 바탕으로 신앙적인 인성교육뿐 아니라 이해력과 사고력을 증진시키는 인지교육을 중점으로 한다. 성령의 9가지 열매(사랑, 희락, 화평, 오래참음, 자비, 양선, 충성, 온유, 절제)와 건강하고 바른 생각, 말, 행동 등을 열매교육을 통해 바른 가치를 가진 차세데 리더로 키워나간다.

두번째는 한국인으로의 정체성을 살리는 한글과 문화수업이다. 언어와 문화란 어려서부터 익히고 배우는 인내를 필요로 하는 학습이다. 미국에서 자라는 우리 아이들에게 꼭 필요한 이 학습을 따뜻한 정과 함께 자연스레 교육한다.

세번째는 주도적인 학습능력을 키우는 음악 미술 및 예체능 교육이다.

창의적이고 다양한 교육 프로그램으로 유아들의 창의적인 잠재력을 이끌고 유아들의 발달, 흥미, 개인 차이를 고려한 수준별 수업과 유아의 자기주도적 능력과 자립심을 키워주는 유아중심 교육을 한다.

하나님을 바로 아는 올바른 아이, 한국인의 정체성을 가지고 글로벌 세계를 이끄는 차세대 리더로 이웃을 사랑하고 배려하는 따뜻한 감성으로 세상에 꼭 필요한 소금 같은 아이를 키워내고 성장하는 유아, 교사, 학부모가 함께하는 교육 공동체이다.

The Dasom Christian Academy in Bellevue aims to foster next-generation leaders and to help develop in them a sense of independence and responsibility.

At the Dasom Christian Academy, there are three educational goals that focus on growing next-generation leaders.

The first is the “fruit” education that encourages the formation of the correct values based on the Bible. The focus of this educational goal is not simply religious education, but also cognitive education that enhances comprehension and thinking skills. The nine fruits of the Holy Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control) will help us teach the right values, thoughts, and actions in our students to nurture them to become “leaders of the fruit”.  

The second is Korean and culture classes to help encourage Korean identity. Learning language and culture require patience and is often taught from a young age. This learning, which is essential for our children who are growing up in the United States, is taught naturally and with a warm heart.

The third is music and arts education, which will foster leadership and creative skills. Creative and diverse education programs lead to increased creative potential in children, take into account the individual differences in development and interests, and provide self-centered education to foster self-reliance.

The Dasom Christian Academy is an educational community joined by students, teachers and parents who raise “salt-like” children to become the next leaders of the global world, who love and care for their neighbors, and who are proud of their Korean identity.
